Assignment 1, due 9/30/06 :
For this week, I would like you to watch the videos on Get Pictures and Organizing Photos at my site.
1) Think of how you can incorporate the organizer to manage your pictures
2) Write a short email explaining to me:
a) whether you think PS organizer will suit your picture needs
b) what categories/subcategory/tags you might use to organize your picture
c) what would be a nice feature(s) that seems lacking in Organizer

Assignment 2, due 10/31/06 :
a) Watch the set 2 videos and use the quickfix tool to make the lotus flower better. Save it as a JPEG file with the dimension of 500 width and 375 height. Be sure to check the boxes for resample image and constrain proportion.

b) go to http://examples.oreilly.com/phototmm4/images/ and download the squirrel picture. Do the Quickfix on it to make it look better. Save it in its original dimension, ie, don't change the resolution or dimension.

Midterm, due 12/1.

I would like you to create a movie poster. It should have text and a composition of a minimum of three images. The composition should involve some kind of special effects applied to the text. Use your creativity! Send me the jpg file.

Final, due 12/18, 8AM.

Part A
With this picture, please remove the color cast using the Remove Color Cast tool. Those who don't have Elements can try this link. Reduce the graininess (noise) of the picture. Remove the telephone wires from the image using the clone tool (doesn't have to be 100% perfect). Bring out the color a bit by adjusting the saturation, as taught in the Fix Photograph 2 video. Send me the jpg file. Hint: watch the fix photo 2 video!
