The first section - Getting Started - gives you information about how to set up your computer for class. How to copy the files and information about additional features like PhotoShop.com

Note: In Lesson #1 you have the option to sign up for PhotoShop.com - this is the Free Basic Membership. It is your choice if you want to sign up. If you do NOT sign up now you could always sign up later.

In Tech Assignment #3 - you are going to set up the system we will use for you to submit your homework to me. So, after you are done working on a homework assignment you will send me a copy of all the files you created/modified. You will use a system called File Transfer Protocol (FTP) that allows you to copy files through the Internet.

First, you will download and install a program called FileZilla.
Second, you will configure FileZilla with information I email you.
Third, you will test the connection by sending me a test file.

I am asking you to do this so that we can make sure that you will be able to copy your Premiere homework assignments to the web server.

The tasks that you should complete for Tech Assignment #3:

1. First watch these videos to get an idea of what I need you to do:
   NOTE: These videos were created for the Flash class but the process is the same for your Premiere homework assigments.

   When you complete a Lesson - you will just copy the your

2. Download FileZilla from this website:

3. Download this Test File for use in this assignment:
   Right-Click (PC) or
   Ctrl+Click (Mac)
   Here and Select Save Target as
   to Download FTP Test File
   
   
4. Configure FileZilla with the information provided in the
   Premiere Student Web Server Configuration Info email.
   
   
5. Copy (UpLoad) the Test File (TA3_TestFile.jpg) using FTP
   to the SRC Student Web Server.
